Job description

  •   Manage the Trade   Marketing team and support them to meet the assigned objectives and KPIs.
  •   Supports the Trade   Marketers to develop the support calendars and plans for each category within   the assigned market.
  •   Manages   directly one Category from within the portfolio with full responsibility to   develop its support plan and calendar.
  •   Maintains   continuous and timely update on the Category performance health through   analyzing internal sales data, retail audits and other third party material   as well as market visits.
  •   Ensures   timely reporting from all Trade Marketers on :
–        Bi weekly   : Category Report
–        Monthly     : Tracking sheets & Market Visits
–        Quarterly   : Price Mapping & Business reviews   & Retail Audit Analysis report
–        Annually        : Business plans & Business   Reviews

  •   Ensures   timely reporting to Regional Marketing Manager on :
–        Monthly    :     Situation Analysis on all Categories & Controls
–        Quarterly   : Tactics, Actions & Controls
–        Semi-Annually:   Strategy & Objectives
–        Annually      :      Aggregated Business plans & Business Reviews
     
  •   Responsible   for the achievement of the category targets in terms of bottom line,   revenues, market share, distribution and coverage.
  •   Review and   assess the Category plan-ograms and ensures corrective measures are made on   time.
  •   Provide a   consolidated picture and timely update to the MD on all categories.
  •   Recommend   strategic and long term goals for all categories for both MD and Regional Marketing   Manager.
  •   Ensure that   all strategic goals and objectives of all categories in the assigned market   are delivered as per approved plan.
  •   Directly   involved in the forecasting process and to be aligned on all rolling   adjustments affecting the performance of the categories.
  •   Maintains close   coordination with the external agencies (advertising agency, retail audit   agency, premiums suppliers & agencies, etc.) to ensure proper support is   maintained
  •   Ensure that   the Trade Marketing Team is operating within limits of approved budget.
  •   Ensure the   proper implementation of the national support calendar.
  •   Develop and   distribute the budget for each category and monitor the spending as per   pre-approved plans.
  •   Responsible   for the efficient spending of all support budgets allocated to the Category managers   within his team.
  •   Carry out all   responsibilities of a Trade Marketing Manager if assigned category.
  •   Maintain   close coordination with the Sales Manager to ensure timely support for the   Sales department.
  •   Develops and   annual marketing/media plan according to company objectives in conjunction   with the sales team.
  •   Manage the   portfolios product life cycle in assigned region and implement strategic and   tactical activities.
  •   To asses   market research in order to identify market requirements for current and future   products.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor   of Marketing or Equivalent
  • Knowledge   of marketing, sales &merchandising, brand management, category management,   brand building & marketing, and consumer behavior.
  • MS   Office applications
  • Written   and spoken fluency in English & Arabic languages
6 years’   experience in a similar role of which at least 3 years are in a category management   role.
